Intended Use
Introduction
Version 1 with straight protection
screen:
The LPS Climbing Rail forms the bracket
structure.
Version 2 with working platform:
The bracket structure consists of a bot-
tom Climbing Rail LPS to which a plat-
form cantilever beam is bolted and a fur-
ther post (shorter climbing rail) is
attached.
The upper post is, thus, offset by the
width of the platform and supports the
enclosure which is projecting upwards.
A platform consisting of platform beams
and decking elements made of anti-slip
checker plate is attached to the Platform
Cantilever Beam.
Features
The LPS Screen Climbing Enclosure is a
standard application of the LPS Light
Protection System from PERI.
LPS Screen is a bracket-type supporting
structure and has been designed as pro-
tection scaffold according to DIN EN
12811 and DIN 4420. Wind load as-
sumptions are assumed in accordance
with DIN EN 1991-1 (EC 1).
The supporting structure basically con-
sists of 2 bracket structures that are
connected to each other by an enclo-
sure.
The enclosure consists of LPS Mesh
Panels and is fixed to the Climbing Rails
or Steel Walers SRU over the entire
height by means of clamp connectors.
The mesh panels can be variably extend-
ed laterally with telescopic screen ele-
ments.
The lower Climbing Rail LPS is anchored
in the floor slabs of the structure by
means of slab shoes.

only.
These Instructions for Assembly and
Use describe the standard assembly of
the Rail Climbing System LPS as a
Climbing Protection Panel.
The Climbing Protection Panel may only
be used for the application shown here
as a protection against falling with partial
wind protection in the interior and as
protection against falling objects. Ver-
sion 2 also offers a working platform for
accessing the slab edge.
The climbing procedure can be carried
out with both versions either by crane or
using the hydraulic climbing device.
Instructions on Use
Use in a way not intended according to
the Instructions for Assembly and Use,
or any use deviating from the standard
configuration or the intended use, repre-
sents a misapplication with a potential
safety risk, e.g. risk of falling.
Only PERI original parts may be used.
The use of other products and spare
parts is not allowed.
Changes to PERI components are not
permitted.
