COLLECTING TROUBLE LOGS
In the event of trouble, you can get information in the procedures described below:
IMPORTANT:
You can perform the procedures described below only when you are asked by your maintenance personnel to get
trouble logs.
When the system restarts after the trouble, it may show a message that there is a shortage of virtual memory.
However, continue the system start-up. If you reset and restart the system, you cannot get correct information.
Collecting Event Logs
Collect the logs of various events that have occurred in the NovaScale/ft Server series.
IMPORTANT:
If a STOP error or system error has occurred or the system has stalled, restart the system, and then
start collecting event logs.
1.
Click [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Administrative Tools] - [Event Viewer].

Select the type of the log to be collected.
[Application Log] contains events related to the applications that were active at occurrence of the events.
[Security Log] contains security-related events. [System Log] contains events that occurred in system
components of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition.

Click [Save Log File As...] in the [Action] menu.
4.
Enter the name of the target archive log file in the [File name] box.
5.
Select the format of the target log file from the [Save as type] list box, and click [OK].
