UV related errors
UV left / right lamp extinguished during operation
The UV subsystem detected that an UV lamp is switched-off during normal operation:
Step 1:
The printer will automatically reboot, check if the problem persists
Step 2:
Try to swap the Right and Left lamp to check if the problem 'moves'
Step 3:
Verify if the lamps are not too old or covered with a black shroud on the bulb. The
blacker the shroud is, the more the lamps will become hot. Replace the lamps in
this case.
Step 4:
If the problem persists after a lamp change, contact your authorized Mutoh
technician.
UV cassette out
The UV subsystem detected that it has lost contact with an UV cassette:
Step 1:
The printer will automatically reboot, check if the problem persists
Step 2:
Verify if the lamp cassette is properly inserted and fixed in the UV lamp socket
Step 3:
Verify if the contacts of the UV lamp are not bent or damaged
Step 4:
Verify if the problem persists if a new UV lamp cassette is inserted
Step 5:
If the problem is still not solved after lamp change, contact your authorized Mutoh
technician.
UV left / right lamp failed to ignite
The UV subsystem tried to ignite the UV-lamps. However, this ignition has not succeeded:
Step 1:
The printer will automatically reboot, check if the problem persists
Step 2:
Try to swap the Right and Left lamp to check if the problem 'moves'
Step 3:
If the lamp is still not burning, change with a new UV lamp
Step 4:
If after a lamp exchange the problem persists, contact your authorized Mutoh
technician.
UV left / right lamp overheat error
The UV-subsystem reported that a lamp is overheating. Verify if the UV lamp filters are not
blocked with dust and clean if necessary.
Make sure the APS system is switched on, to ensure, there is cool air flowing into the printer
and that hot air inside the printer is evacuated
Verify if the lamps are not too old or covered with a black shroud on the bulb. The blacker the
shroud is, the more the lamps will become hot. Replace the lamps in this case.
Verify if the cooling-fans inside the UV lamp assy's are running when the lamps are
switched-on. If not ok, please contact your authorized Mutoh technician.
