4.16 Transportation

4.16.1 Short 

distance 

transportation

For short distances (moving to another room, etc) there are no special requirements.
Just make sure ALL support-feet are completely turned-in to avoid feet breaking-off during 
transportation!

4.16.2 

Medium-distance transportation for short term

(moving machines to exhibitions, etc.)

Please contact your authorized Mutoh technician when transporting the printer.

Step 1: 

Make sure the ink valves are closed.  Secure the ink valves with tie wraps, to avoid 
that they don't open accidentally during packing and transportation.

Step 2: 

Empty and clean the ink waste bin.  Put fresh paper inside to absorb ink that might 
drip-out from the print heads.

Step 3: 

Secure the carriage-chain with a transportation-bracket (standard delivered with the 
printer) to avoid the chain bumping up/down during transportation!
