Replacing the UV lamp cassettes

The UV lamp bulbs will gradually lose their intensity and therefore their ability to cure the ink. 
To view the number of hours that each lamp has operated refer to 

UV setup on page

Replacing the bulbs as a pair is recommended. If the total operating time for the right and left 
bulbs is significantly different, printing artefacts may be visible due to uneven ink curing. 

You need to replace the UV cassettes in case:

the curing is not performed optimally.

To replace an UV cassette, proceed as follows.

Required tools

Step 1: 

Power OFF the machine. Be sure to wait the predefined 5 minutes until the lamps 
are cooled DOWN.

Step 2: 

Push the carriage to the middle of the print platform.

Step 3: 

Remove the UV lamp cassettes by loosening the one screw with a hexagon key of 
3 mm.

Step 4: 

Replace the UV lamp cassette.

Note

The life time of an UV cassette is estimated at 1000 hours.
