MEWS (Modified Early Warning Score)

The MEWS calculates a total score and provides a clinical response based on the
following five parameters:

AVPU (Alert, Reacting to Voice, Reacting to Pain, and Unresponsive)

This scoring is only applicable to adult patients.

The NEWS calculates a total score and provides a clinical response based on the

Customizable Scoring

The customizable scoring can provides a clinical response based on the selected
multiple parameters or single parameter.

Multiple parameter scoring: calculate a total score and provide a clinical response
based on the multiple parameters which are defined.

■

Individual parameter scoring (IPS): provide a clinical response whenever any
individual parameter value is out of range.

The available parameters in customizable scoring include:
