Information on how the processing time is calculated and on the safety bus transmission time
can be found in the documentation of the safety PLC you are using.
If the safety bus communication is faulty after the safety bus monitoring time
(F_WD_Time) expires, the system switches to the fail-safe state. The safety bus
communication is passivated.
Example

After an event on a safe input, the message is looped back to the integrated safety system
via the safety PLC.
•
The integrated safety system then triggers a safety function.
•
The maximum response time to the event is then calculated as follows:2
