Channel Metering
The example above shows a channel PPM combined with the Channel State add-on. Together they provide input
metering for the channel plus feedback and signalisation of the channel states.
The elements have been assigned to a specific fader strip (by VisTool Editor), and include the
the source (e.g. LINE 1). The meter scale can be DIN, UK, NORDIC or DIG (defined by its properties).
The Channel State element includes:
·
DSP Status
(EQ, DYN, COMP, EXP, GATE, LIM, DELAY)
– these indicators turn from green to red
whenever the DSP module is on. DYN is the status of the master dynamics on/off; COMP, EXP and
GATE show the status of the individual sections.
·
VCA Grouping
(not available for crystal) - if the fader is assigned to a VCA, then the VCA master is
shown here.
·
Bus assignments
– show the name and status of the first 10 (or 20) bus assignments as defined within
the system configuration:
o
Red – indicates a pre-fader assignment.
o
Yellow – indicates a post-fader assignment.
o
Green – indicates no assignment.
·
Gain Reduction
- these three meters show gain reduction for the dynamics (D), limiter (L) and de-esser
(S).
