22 Repairs, maintenance and settings by technicians
This chapter describes repair, maintenance and adjustment work on the machine which may be
performed by qualified technicians only. The chapter "Personnel qualification of the technicians"
must be read and observed in full,
refer to page 16 .
WARNING
Risk of injury or damage to the machine due to incorrect repair, maintenance and
setting work.
Machines that are not repaired, maintained or set by technicians can exhibit faults caused by
a lack of knowledge. As a result, people may be seriously injured or killed.

Only an authorised technician may carry out repair, maintenance and setting work at the
machine.

22.1 Setting the knotter needles
22.1.1 Setting the lateral guidance of the knotter needles

After setting the knotter needle pass once manually through the tying process. refer to
page 113 .

In doing so, the knotter needles and needle yokes must not come in contact with the
frame, plunger or other parts during the upward or downward motion.
