Malfunction (9):
There is no knot neither on the upper nor on the lower twine strand.
Possible cause
Remedy
9.1
The twine pusher is not activ-
ated.
Check/adjust the twine pusher mechanism,
9.2
The billhook tongue is dam-
aged.
Replace the billhook tongue (1).
9.3
The tension of the billhook
tongue is too low.
Increase the clamping effect on the billhook,

The twine retainer spring is
set too tight.

Twine strands are cut through
in the twine retainer.

Remove accumulations of dirt or chaff under the twine
retainer springs.

The billhook is not turning.
Replace the pin (2) of the knotter hook drive wheel (1).
Malfunction (10):
Knot ends too short. Thus, the knot opens (in most cases the second knot).
