14.3
Adjusting self-steering axle
INFORMATION
Observe the user instructions provided by the tractor manufacturer for parallel operation of the
tractor control units! The locking cylinder of the self-steering axle must be connected before or
at the same time as the other hydraulic supply elements of the machine!
INFORMATION
On the self-steering axle, the rear wheels are turned in by friction between the wheel and the
ground. In critical driving situations when a straight line cannot be maintained, the self-
steering axle must be locked.
Critical driving situations could include:

Driving on steep slopes
ü
Driving on soft ground
ü
Driving in straight direction exceeding 30 km/h
ü
Reversing
