Malfunction:
There is no knot or a knot with very short ends that usually slip through the knot
loops.

Possible cause Remedy
Too much tension on the
closer of the billhook.

Increase the clamping effect on the billhook, refer to
page 319 .
The knotter hook ist worn.

Replace the billhook.
Not enough tension on twine
retainer. „ Adjust the twine retainer, refer to page 320 .
Fault:
The knot is stuck on the billhook.
Possible cause: Remedy
Too much tension on the
closer of the billhook.

Increase the clamping effect on the billhook, refer to
page 319 .
Too much distance between
the scraper comb on the blade
lever and the back of the bill-
hook.
„
Align the blade lever with light hammer taps.
Rough surface of billhook.
„
Replace the billhook.
The setting of the twine
pusher is not correct.
„
Set the twine pusher, refer to page 315 , refer to page 316 .
Scraper distance of blade
lever too short.
INFO: The blade lever can be
deformed by a blunt twine
blade.
„
Remove the blade lever, align or, if necessary, replace.
„
Check the cam on the knotter disc for wear and, if
necessary, replace the knotter disc.
The twine tension is too low.
„
Tighten the twine brake on the twine box by one or two
turns,
refer to page 198 .

Increase the bale density. In automatic mode increase the
target balling force,
refer to page 138 . In manual mode
increase the target baling flap pressure, refer to page 137 .

Increase the bale length. refer to page 139 .
