Removing the One-Piece Nose Assembly
A removal tool is included with your system to limit damaging lateral
forces on the scanner while removing the nose assembly. The following
is the only acceptable procedure for removing the nose assembly:

Place the scanner in the scanner mounting fixture.

Carefully slide the removal tool onto the nose assembly, ensuring
that the opening seats on both sides of the nose.

Position your thumb on the flat surface of the removal tool and your
fingers on BOTH sides of the extraction arm.

Gently pull up with your fingers while pushing down with your
thumb (
