When positive signal is supplied, the starter
motor is powered and starts the vehicle engine.
Operation takes place only when the key is
turned in the barrel. When starting the vehicle,
NO SAFETY CHECKS OF ANY TYPE ARE
CARRIED OUT e.g. gear engaged etc.
For both normal vehicles and for Start & Stop
vehicles
+12 V = engine start-up
Open circuit - no action
2 Engine shut-down
Input

When a positive signals is supplied, the vehicle
engine is shut down
+12 V = engine shut-down
Open circuit = no action
3 Service braking
Output

When the brake pedal is pressed, a positive signal
is generated.
+12 V = service brake active
Open circuit = service brake inactive
4 Vehicle stationary

When the vehicle is stationary, a ground is obtained

Open circuit = vehicle in motion
5 Parking brake

When the handbrake is operated, an earth signal
