b. At the Element Manager:
1. At the Hardware View, right-click the port. A pop-up menu
appears.
2. Select Reset Port. The message This operation will cause a
link reset to be sent to the attached device displays.
3. Click OK. The port resets.
c. Perform an external loopback test for the reset port ( Performing
loopback tests on page 175).

A port failed and the optical transceiver must be replaced (
RRP:
Optical transceiver (SFP and XFP) on page 223).
• The procedure is concurrent and performed while the product is
operational.
• Verify the location of the failed port. Figure 49 and Figure 50
show UPM (or XPM) card numbers (0 through 34), port numbers
(00 through 139), and bolded logical port addresses.
