14. Errors and warnings
This chapter describes all the possible error scenarios including steps to resolve. The errors that can occur
are divided into three types of errors:
1. Warning
A warning is indicated by a blinking yellow light but does not stop the system. The Autosampler III continues
to run if the warning is not blocking the Autosampler III to continue. All warnings are added to the alarm
manager. If user input is required, a pop-up will appear on the HMI screen, indicating the actions that need to
be taken. The status light keeps blinking orange until the alarm is acknowledged in the alarm manager.
2. Error
An error is indicated by a blinking red status light and immediately stops the Autosampler IIIs current run.
Error messages are logged into the alarm manager and need to be acknowledged before the Autosampler III
can be restarted. If the problem is related to a motor, pump or pneumatic actuator, the system needs to be
re-initialized before the run can be restarted.
3. Non-fatal error
A non-fatal error is indicated by a red light and pauses the system. A pop-up will indicate the steps that
need to be taken by the operator to solve the problem. After the problem is resolved, the alarm needs to be
acknowledged in the alarm manager and the user can press "Run" to continue the run.
