Individual MP address model: All MEPs and MIPs on the current device use their interface
MAC addresses. If the interfaces are Layer 2 interfaces switched from Layer 3 interfaces
using the
portswitch
command, the MAC addresses of the Layer 3 interfaces are used.

Shared MP address model: All MEPs and MIPs on the current device share a bridge MAC
address.
Perform the following steps on an MP where an MP address model needs to be configured:

Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2
Run:
cfm mp-address-model
{
bridge
|
individual
}
An MP address model is configured.
By default, the shared MP address model is used.
NOTE
If CFM has been enabled, run the
undo cfm enable
command to disable it before running the
cfm mp-
address-model
command.

Checking the Configurations
By viewing MDs, MAs, MEPs, and MIPs, you can check whether the configurations are
successful.
Prerequisites
The configurations of the Ethernet CFM function are complete.
