11.10.8 Example for Configuring User Information Backup in
Directly-connected and Reachable LSP Mode
This section provides a configuration example of user information backup in direct and reachable
LSP protection mode. A networking diagram is provided to demonstrate the configuration
procedure. The configuration example includes networking requirements, configuration
roadmap, configuration procedure, and configuration files.
Networking Requirements
NOTE
The X1 and X2 models of the NE80E/40E do not support the RUI protocol and therefore do not back up
BRAS user information.
, users are connected to Router A and Router B through the LSW.
The two NE80E/40Es are master and slave NE80E/40Es through VRRP. The basic user access
functions are configured on Router A and Router B so that users can log in through the master
device. When the master device fails, services can be switched to the slave device quickly.
The RBPs on Router A and Router B do not need to be bound to the IP address pool. You can
set different cost values on Router A and Router B through the routing policy or set routing
protocol metrics on interfaces to ensure that the network-side traffic is sent back.
When the user-side link or interface fails, you can use the directly-connected and reachable LSP
to ensure that the network-side traffic is sent back normally. Compared with the tunnel, the
directly-connected link between Router A and Router B can save the bandwidth of the network-
side traffic effectively.
NOTE
The tunnel can be other types except for the LSP as long as the specified outbound interface must match
the tunnel type.
