FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Loosen the steering stem adjusting nut [1] using a
special tool.
Hold the steering stem and remove the steering stem
adjusting nut.
Remove the following:
– Dust seal [1]
– Upper bearing inner race [2]
– Upper steering head bearing [3]
– Steering stem [4]
– Lower steering head bearing [5]
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Replace the
bearing, outer and
inner races as a
set.
Remove the upper outer race using a special tool.
Remove the lower bearing outer race using the special
tool and suitable shaft.
TOOL:
Steering stem socket [2]
