CYLINDER HEAD/VALVES
Install the cam chain guide [1].
• Align the cam chain guide end with the groove in the
crankcase.
• Align the cam chain guide tabs with the grooves in
the crankcase.
Install the dowel pins [1] and new gasket [2].
Route the cam chain through the cylinder head and
install the cylinder head [1] onto the cylinder.
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the cylinder head
special bolts [2] threads and seating surface.
Install and tighten the cylinder head special bolts in a
crisscross pattern in 2 or 3 steps to the specified torque.
Install and tighten the 6 mm bolts [1].
