SET Command Parameters
BOOTDEF_DEV
The BOOTDEF_DEV parameter defines the default device that
the operating system bootstraps. The device names must be
valid boot devices supported by the BOOT command.
Issuing the SHOW DEVICE command displays the available
boot devices.
Format
To execute the SET BOOTDEF_DEV command, enter the
following:
>>> SET BOOTDEF_DEV {qualifier}

sample of the syntax to use with the BOOT commands.
Example
The next example sets the BOOT default device to DKA100.
>>> SET BOOTDEF_DEV DKA100
Return
Result:
BOOTDEF_DEV = DKA100
>>>
In the next example, the system tries booting from ESA0 first
and then booting from DKA600 if ESA0 fails.
>>> SET BOOTDEF_DEV ESA0, DKA600
