measurement screen and begin taking readings. Otherwise, repeat the
steps outlined above to set the
ALARM HIGH
limit.
13.12 Analog Output
The
MAX II
is also equipped with an analog output to send a 0-10 volt electrical
signal to an external device to control a system process to respond in a different
manner considering the voltage measured. The outputs are updated at the same
rate as the PRF (pulse repetition frequency) setting. There is 100 ohm output
impedance which will vary the voltage slightly and should therefore be calibrated to
the device connected. The output options are amplitude or distance. Refer to the
Top & Bottom end caps or connections on page 38 for further info on the pins used
on the Lemo 1 5 pin connector. The procedures for activating and selecting
amplitude or distance are outlined below:
Activating Analog Out
1) Press the
MENU
key once to activate the menu items tab. Press the
MENU
key multiple times to tab right and the
ESC
key multiple times to tab left until
the
UTIL
menu is highlighted and displaying the submenu items.
Alternatively, press the
LEFT
and
RIGHT
arrow keys multiple times
using the left button wheel.
2) Use the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys multiple times using the left button
wheel to scroll through the sub menu items until
ANALOG OUTPUT
is
highlighted.
