11. Connect battery cables, positive (+) first and tighten terminals to 20 ft-lb (27.1 N·m) (Figure 15-1,
Page 15-2). Coat terminals with Battery Protector Spray (Club Car Part No. 1014305).
12. Place the Forward/Reverse handle in the NEUTRAL position and the neutral lockout cam in the SER-
VICE position. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks and proper engine operation. See follow-
ing DANGER.
13. After checking the exhaust and engine for proper operation, return the neutral lockout cam to the
OPERATE position.
