ENGINE OIL
Read DANGER and WARNING on pages 10-1 and 10-2.
Even though the oil warning light on the dash should illuminate if the engine oil level is low, the engine oil
level should be checked monthly. The vehicle should be on a level surface when checking oil.
OIL VISCOSITY
Choose the viscosity according to the temperature as shown (Figure 10-5, Page 10-6).
• DO NOT REMOVE DIPSTICK WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING.

• USING MULTI-GRADE OILS (5W-20, 10W-30, AND 10W-40) WILL INCREASE OIL
CONSUMPTION. CHECK OIL LEVEL MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN USING MULTI-GRADE OILS.
