Disassembly of Adapter (Fig. 7B-4T)
1. Using a brass drift or other suitable tool, tap sleeve
through seals and out of adapter.
2. Using a suitable punch or drift, drive seals from
adapter.
Inspection
Inspect the sleeve for any indication of failure. If the
sleeve has chipped teeth or excessive wear, it should be
replaced. Check internal snap ring in sleeve. Replace if bent
or broken.
Assembly of Adapter
1. Install new seals in adapter using Tool J-7137 and
J-8092 as shown in Figure 7B-2T.
2. Insert sleeve through seals into adapter bore and tap
into place.
