p illa r. B e fo re adjustment is made on any door, how ever,
the s tr ik e r plate should be rem oved. The door can be
m oved fo r e , aft, up and down at the hinge p illa r and the
door also can be m oved in o r out at the h in ge-to-d oor
panel. H ow ever, in o rd e r to adjust the door assem bly at
the body hinge p illa r it is n ecessa ry to use sp ecial door
hinge bolt wrench T o o l J - 22585 (F ig . 34). M ove door as
req u ired and tighten bolts.
The door should have a n orm al clearan ce of 5/32"
around the en tire outer lip of door except at the bottom
w h ere it should be 1/4" fro m the door s ill.
The door should be adjusted in the opening so the edge
o f the door a cross the top and also at the lock side is
p a r a lle l with the body opening as n early as p ossible.
Tighten bolts to 20-25 ft. lbs. a fte r adjustment and r e ­
p lace and adjust the door s tr ik e r plate as outlined under
D oor S trik e r P la te.

equivalent parts if replacem ent becom e nec­
