NOTE
Preparing Measurement Environment
Complete the installation described in Chapter 2, “Installation.”
Complete the system setup and the compensation described in Chapter 3,
“Performing System Setup and Compensation.”
Turn on the instruments, and turn on the system controller if it is used.
Launch EasyEXPERT or Desktop EasyEXPERT.
NOTE
If You Use External Controller to Control B1500A
Set the B1500A GPIB configuration by using the Agilent Connection Expert
installed in the B1500A as follows. And reboot the B1500A

System Controller:
No
•
GPIB address: appropriate value, non 21 value
Leave the Start EasyEXPERT window on the B1500A screen.
Connect the GPIB cable between the B1500A and the system controller.
Set the Desktop EasyEXPERT execution mode to Online, and specify the VISA
interface ID of the system controller and the GPIB address of the B1500A.
To confirm the VISA interface ID of the system controller, terminate Desktop
EasyEXPERT and use Agilent Connection Expert on the system controller.
