Fault code resolution
Engine fault codes
FAULT DETECTION: Engine fault codes can be detected while the engine is running. If a fault occurs, the engine
computer takes a snapshot of engine operating parameters and logs the fault code into memory.
The System Monitor will display active fault codes as they occur. The display can also be used to view inactive fault
codes.
The System Monitor will display fault codes. Refer to the display representation of an actual code on the following
page. Use these codes as they are displayed to determine corrective action. These codes are found in the Engine
Fault Code tables the follow.
Refer to the System monitor screen represented below as an example of how the engine codes will be displayed.
The SPN/FMI code displayed below is represented in the Engine Fault Code Tables that follow.
