8 Optional . To verify the specifics of the optic being tested, select the
symbol next to the graphic of the transceiver. A list of specifications (including the
SN) similar to the following will appear.
Select the Back button to return to the test.
9 If you are testing a QSFP+/QSFP28 on CSAM and the transceiver is capable of
bypassing transmit or receive clock data recovery (CDR), you can bypass CDR.
Do the following:
–
To bypass transmit CDR, select Tx CDR bypass enable .
– To bypass receive CDR, select Rx CDR bypass enable .
NOTE: If the QSFP is not capable of bypassing CDR, these settings will be
disabled.
10 Click Next to proceed to the Report screen.
Generating Reports
1 After the Optics Self-Test or Cable Test have concluded, select the Next arrow at
the bottom of the screen.
The Report screen appears.
