Okay to start the encryption process.
4. Once the encryption operation is complete, the encrypted asset
will be displayed with a red background. Before the VTP project
has been finalized and registered with QuStudio for key
management, the Acuity does provide temporary (24-hour)
access to encrypted assets to allow additional project
modification and preview.
Note: The temporary keys generated by the Acuity are
temporarily stored in memory and will be erased if the server is
turned off or restarted.
Encrypt Track(s)
The Encrypt Track(s) command is used to apply content encryption to
all assets on the video and/or audio tracks as specified. For DCI
JPEG2000 VTP projects 128-bit AES encryption is applied to asset as
specified by Digital Cinema security requirements.
To encrypt all assets of an entire track(s)
1. Press the Encrypt Tracks button.
2. Select the track type to encrypt. Both video and audio tracks
may be encrypted in the same operation by selected

3. Using the popup browser window, select the public key file
(.pem) of the Content Management system where the
encrypted content will be managed (i.e. QuStudio).
The public key of the Content Management system is needed
in order to encrypt the content so that it can be registered and
managed by the that system. This allows the Content
Management system (QuStudio) to authorize registered
devices to playback the encrypted content via decryption keys
delivered by Key Delivery Messages (KDM).

Export Project
The Export Project command is used to create the A sset D efinition F ile
(.adf) that will be used by QuStudio to create the DCP (or QDCP)
package. QuStudio will use the project information stored in this file to
create the Composition Playlist (CPL) and necessary DCP files.
