SETUP NETWORK (4/8) menu page
This menu page enables the operator to change the Acuity’s network address settings. Before making changes,
make sure that the IP address you are about to use is a unique address. Duplicate IP addresses will cause
communication problems on your network. If you have any question regarding network address assignment, contact
you network administrator.
Notes:
1.
If the Acuity is configured with a CPU 7, two Ethernet ports (Port 1 and Port 2) are displayed for
configuration. If the Acuity is configured with a CPU 6 only one Ethernet port is displayed.
2.
CPU 7 incorporates a second Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) network port. The second GigE network port was
primarily added for Digital Cinema playback purposes so that network traffic for data (transfers, system
monitoring, etc.) and projector communication could be isolated. The addition of this second GigE port
allows Port 1 to be dedicated to data (primary network access port for data and server communication)
and Port 2 to be dedicated to projector control communication.
Setup Network Options
Description
This control is used to assign a unique TCP/IP network address to the
Acuity. The IP address is the primary setting needed for
communicating with a QuVIS Acuity over a TCP/IP Ethernet network.
The Acuity must be restarted in order for the network to recognize that
a change has occurred. The factory default IP address is 192.168.1.1.
IP Address
This control is used to set the subnet mask for the assigned network
address. For further assistance contact your network administrator.
The factory default subnet mask value is 255.255.255.0.
Subnet Mask
This control is used to set the IP address for the network default
gateway. The default gateway instructs the Acuity where to route IP
data not destined for the same IP network. The factory default
gateway IP address is 192.168.1.1 (the same as its factory IP
address).
Default Gateway
DHCP
This control is used to activate/deactivate Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol (DHCP) IP network address assignment. When the DHCP
service is enabled the Acuity sends a broadcast on the network
requesting a IP address assignment. The DHCP request is processed
