Audio Form
- for DCI JPEG2000 clips, this value should be set to default value, “Audio Cluster (grouped
channels)”.
Note:
If the control appears grayed out as depicted in the above screenshot, you will need to enable
Advanced features in GUI
control on the
Setup Config
menu page before you can modify the value.
Digital Audio Inputs
– this control is used to specify the number of Input audio channels that will be recorded. For
current Digital Cinema projects this is most commonly set to 8 channels.
Analog Audio Inputs
– this control should not be used for Digital Cinema JPEG200 projects.
Resolution
– this control should be set to
24-bit
for DCI JPEG2000 projects. It is important that the resolution of the
audio input source matches this setting.
Frequency
- this control should be set to 48kHz for DCI JPEG2000 projects. It is important that the frequency of
the audio input source matches this setting.
Format
– this control should be set to WAVE for DCI JPEG2000 projects. This setting is used to instruct the Acuity
to store the incoming audio data in a Broadcast Wave audio file format.
IMPORTANT!
The implementation of this WAVE audio file format is unique to QuVIS and audio clips recorded in
this form are not compatible on any other server platform. Audio asset files using this format are tagged as “.wa” file
to distinguish themselves from “.wav”, which is the traditional wave file extension. The QuVIS Wave file
implementation is based upon Digital Cinema requirements but is a superset form that contains QuVIS specific data
used during the DCP mastering process. When a DCP distribution package is finalized, QuVIS superset data is
stripped from these audio files and will conform to DCP Broadcast Wave audio format requirements.
