Button Command Description
keyboard is attached, use the left and right arrow keys to move
the edit along the timeline.
In the example above, the In point was changed -00:00:02:00 to
00:00:00:00. The Out point automatically updates as the In point
is modified.
3. To complete the operation, press the Slip button a second time
(center touchpad button or left mouse click).
Slide
The Slide edit command is used to move a selected asset to a new
position on the timeline without affecting its In or Out points or duration.
WARNING! Moving an edit on the timeline to a position occupied by
another edit, will result in an edit overlay whereby the existing edit will be
replaced by the overlay (in part or in full). If you need to move more than
one edit, perform each Slide edit in an order in which no unintended
overlay conditions occur.
To perform a
Slide edit
1. Select the edit that is to be moved in its entirety. Press the Slide
edit button.
2. To move the edit, move the Jog wheel in the desired direction.
Alternately, the touchpad (or mouse) may be used to move the
edit using a left or right horizontal stroke across the touchpad
surface. If an external keyboard is attached, use the left and
right arrow keys to move the edit along the timeline.
