VTP EDITOR (2/2) menu page
This menu page is used to locally edit the timeline of a virtual tape or VTP using a graphical Non-Linear Editor
(NLE) interface. The VTP Editor allows an operator to open a virtual tape project and add new assets to the timeline
(video, audio and subtitle files) or modify existing edits from the front panel GUI.
The VTP Editor is an integral component of the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) mastering process and is used to
finalize the asset layout order and timing as well as provide hardware-accelerated encryption of the assets (video
and audio files) that will make up the DCP.
The VTP Editor supports both QPE and JPEG2000 VTP projects.
IMPORTANT! The VTP Editor does not support the intermixing of both QPE and JPEG2000 assets within the same
VTP project.
The VTR transport buttons and Jog/Shuttle wheel provide real-time playback of the entire VTP timeline. This allows
the operator to preview video, audio and subtitle track assets on the timeline as changes are being made.

Description
The area just below the menu bar is used to display project summary information. In
the above screenshot the first line displays the name of the loaded Virtual Tape (VTP)
including its directory path. “Sample_Feature” is the name of the VTP currently loaded
for editing.
Project Summary
The second line of text is used to display any comments that were entered when the
VTP was created.
