To program the GOTO option:
1. Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Dial Action Tables on the Customize menu.
2. Decide which key you are going to use to program your GOTO.
3. Select GOTO from the Action scroll list for that key.
4. In the Number box for that key:
Enter the number of the mailbox or extension where you want to a call to be directed.
5. When you have finished programming this DAT, click the Next button to move to the next
DAT.
6. When you have finished all your DAT programming, click the OK button to save your
changes.
To program the LANG1 or LANG2 option:
1. Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Dial Action Tables on the Customize menu.
2. Decide which DAT key you are going to use to program your LANG1 or LANG2.
3. Select LANG1 or LANG2 from the Action scroll list for that key.
4. In the Number box for that key:
Enter the number of the mailbox or extension where the sysatem voice prompts will be heard
in the language you selected.
5. When you have finished programming this DAT, click the Next button to move to the next
DAT.
6. When you have finished all your DAT programming, click the OK button to save your
changes.
To program Directory Dialing by first name or last name:
When you program the 5-step sequence listed below, you are creating a set of pointers, which link
the following: a DAT, a Call Routing Mailbox, a Directory List, and a Subscriber Mailbox, Guest
Mailbox, Message Center Mailbox, or another type of named mailbox. The DAT points to a Call
Routing Mailbox. The Call Routing Mailbox points to a Directory List. The Directory List in turn
points to the named mailbox. These pointers create a chain that will directly route a call dialed from
a Touch Tone keypad to a mailbox or extension in your Voice Mail system.
This set of pointers establishes the framework for programming Directory Dialing by either first
name (DIRF) or last name (DIRL). When Directory Dialing is programmed by first name, a caller
will reach Alice Smith’s mailbox by dialing A-L-I. But when Directory Dialing is programmed by
last name, the caller will reach her mailbox by dialing S-M-I.
1. Decide which Directory Dialing scheme (DIRF or DIRL) you want to apply to mailbox
names, and then use this Directory Dialing scheme when you are recording a name for every
mailbox in your Voice Mail system.
2. Assign the same Directory List to every mailbox.
3. Assign a Call Routing Mailbox to the Directory List
4. Set up a DAT for DIRF or DIRL
5. Set up the DAT to transfer calls to the mailboxes.
