Recording Options
While recording a message, a user can press:
Q
* to pause the recording and then press * again to resume recording
Q
B (2) to backup 5 seconds and listen to (review) the recording
Q
B B (2 2) to back up to the beginning and then listen to the recordings
Q
E (3) to erase the recording
Q
T I (8 4) to hear the time and date of the recording

# to end the recording.

Requesting a Return Receipt
After recording a message, users can request that the NT Voice Mail automatically place a
return receipt in their mailboxes as soon as the recipient listens to the message. The return
receipt lets the sender know the exact date and time that the message was listened to. However,
senders who do not receive return receipts know for sure that the recipients have not listened to
their messages, so there is no need to use the Check a Message You Sent feature.
A return receipt consists of the voice prompt, The following return receipt arrived on (date/
time) from (name or mailbox number), followed by the message that was listened to.
Users can request return receipts after recording messages by any of the following methods:

Security Code
Users can change their mailbox security codes for privacy. If they forget their security codes,
the System Administrator can erase them and the user can assign a new one.
