Chapter 3: Programming

Message List Mode (cont’d)

Auto Forwarding

This option sets up the Auto Forwarding feature (which allows an initiator to copy a message
into a partner mailbox) This option determines whether the initiator’s copy of the message is
saved or erased.

Auto Erase/Save of Messages

This option determines whether the Voice Mail automatically erases or saves a message that
has been completely listened to in the Subscriber Mailbox. The automatic erase or save occurs
after the user has completely listened to the message and exited the mailbox

Notes:

The user can override this listen mode on a per call basis. (See
Listening to Your Messages in the User’s Guide.)

Availability:

All versions of the NT Voice Mail.

Default:

Fwd Save

Entries:

Click inside the dialog box next to Auto Forwarding. You see your
choices:

Click on the desired entry.

No
Auto Forwarding not allowed.

Fwd Save
Saves message in initiator’s mailbox after copying it to the partner.

Fwd Erase
Erases message in initiator’s mailbox after copying it to the partner.
