Release the Carriage Lock.

Remove Carriage Cover.

3.8.2 Removing Carriage Cover

Remove CR Board Cover.

3.8.3 Removing CR Board Cover

Remove CR Encoder from CR Board.

Remove CR Encoder from the clamps on the
path.

Remove the screw retaining CR Encoder
mounting board.

A : Pan-head screw with spring washer and

flat washer M3

NOTE

When removing CR Encoder, make sure
not to damage T Fence.

Remove CR Encoder Mounting Board.

Remove the screws (2 pieces) retaining CR
Encoder.

A : Pan-head screw with spring washer and

flat washer (small

Replace CR Encoder.

NOTE

When reassembling CR encoder Assy,
refer to the following figure and make sure
that T fence goes through CR encoder
Assy sensor.

To reassemble unit, reverse the removal

procedure.
