Engine Will Not Crank

Possible Causes

Remedy

Battery switch "OFF".

Switch to "ON" position.

Remote control not in neutral position.

Position control lever to neutral.

Open 50 amp circuit breaker or 15 or 90

amp fuse circuit.

Check and reset circuit breaker or

replace fuse.

Master or starter solenoid defective.

Replace.

Loose or dirty electrical connections or

damaged wiring, battery cable diameter

(gauge) too small for the application.

Check all electrical connections and

wires (especially battery cables).

Clean and tighten faulty connection.

Low battery charge or defective battery.

Test and replace if defective.

Defective starter.

Test and replace if defective.

Defective key switch.

Replace.

Defective neutral/safety switch.
