Issue Reset
Selecting this option causes the IBM 2212 to behave as if the device
has been unplugged and replugged: system card and hard drive or
compact flash diagnostics are run and the IBM 2212 software is loaded.
The IBM 2212 software that is loaded and the interface that the IBM
2212 boots to (OPCON (

, or Bootstrap Menus) depend on the
current boot mode setting.
Selecting POST Mode
1. Select Select POST Mode from the main menu.
2. A menu listing the following options is displayed (see Figure 4-11).

3) Return to Previous Menu
4) Issue Reset

Set POST ON (Next Hard Reset only)
Selecting this option causes the IBM 2212 to run system card power-on
self-test (POST), including an extensive memory test, the next time you
select Issue Reset from the bootstrap menus. This selection is active
only
for the next reset.
Set POST OFF
Selecting this option causes the IBM 2212 to skip POST and boot to the
operational code as quickly as possible.
Return to Previous Menu
Selecting this option displays the Bootstrap Main Menu.
