Exchanging a CPCI Adapter

Refer to “Handling Static-Sensitive Devices” on page 2-2 before exchanging a
CPCI Adapter.

Note: If you are removing a CPCI Adapter but are not installing another, be sure

to follow the directions in “Removing and Deleting an Adapter” on page E-8.

1. Remove power from the IBM 2212 by unplugging the power cord.

2. Remove the cables from the CPCI Adapter. You may want to label each cable

as you disconnect it for ease of reconnection.

3. The CPCI Adapter is secured with one lever and a thumbscrew. To remove this

adapter, you turn the thumbscrew counterclockwise and release the lever. To
release the lever, push out on it.

Remove the adapter from the IBM 2212 and return as indicated in the warranty
for your country.
