If the yellow system card status LED is on, the system card is
defective. Replace it. See either “Exchanging a Standard System
Card” on page 2-12 or “Exchanging a High-Performance System Card”
on page 2-14. Restart the verification procedure. Go to Step 001 on
page 1-9.

Using the instructions in either “Exchanging a PMC Adapter on a
Standard System Card” on page 2-7, steps 1 through 10 or “Exchanging
a PMC Adapter on a High-Performance System Card” on page 2-8,
steps 1 through 14, reseat the PMC card.

If the LED is still on, replace the PMC card using the instructions in
“Exchanging a PMC Adapter” on page 2-7.

| – Either the code is corrupt, or the hard drive or compact flash is defective. In
| both cases, the IBM 2212 will load an abbreviated code image from the system
| card, and then boot to the SVC> prompt. At the SVC> prompt, type list to
| determine if the active bank is corrupt.
| If the active bank
is corrupt:
| 1. Type set and set the other bank to active.
| 2. Type reboot.
| 3. After three minutes, the green system card status LED should be on and the
| yellow LED should be off. If the green system card status LED is still blinking
| and the yellow system card status LED is still on, from the
SVC>
prompt,
| TFTP new operational code onto the IBM 2212. (See “Updating the
| Operational Code” on page E-23.)
| If the active bank is not corrupt:
| 1. Go to Chapter 4, “Using the IBM 2212 Bootstrap Menus” on page 4-1 to
| access the Bootstrap Menus and display the Bootstrap error log.
| 2. Look up the error code in Chapter 5, “Bootstrap Error Codes” on page 5-1.
| 3. If error code 05000101 has been logged:
