| 1. Download the AIS V3.3 or later Operational Code and AIS V3.3 Configuration
| Program using TFTP.
| See “Transferring Files Using TFTP” on page E-20 for more information on
| how to TFTP files. The operational code and configuration program are
| available at:

| 2. Using the existing configuration tool, save the configuration in the common file
| format to a remote server.

| more information on common file formats and the configuration tool.
| 3. Install the AIS V3.3 or later operational code in the available bank on the IBM
| 2212 Model x0x.
| See “Transferring Files Using TFTP” on page E-20 for more information on the
| software migration procedure
| 4. Erase the active configuration from the available bank.
| 5. Change the active bank setting. The available bank becomes the active bank.
| 6. Change the active configuration. The erased configuration becomes the active
| configuration. This change brings up the high-performance system card in
| Config only

mode.

| 7. Remove power from the IBM 2212 by unplugging the power cord.
| 8. Remove the cables from the standard system card. You may want to label
| each cable as you disconnect it for ease of reconnection.
| 9. The standard system card is secured with two levers. To remove this adapter,
| release both levers by pushing outward on them.
| Remove the card from the IBM 2212.
| 10. Remove and keep the following components from the standard system card:

PMC adapter (See “Exchanging a PMC Adapter” on page 2-7.)

Compact flash, if compact flash is installed on the system card (See
| “Exchanging a Compact Flash Feature” on page 2-22.)
| 11. Install the PMC adapters and Compact Flash components on the new
| high-performance system card. See “Exchanging a PMC Adapter” on page 2-7
| and “Exchanging a Compact Flash Feature” on page 2-22 for installation
| instructions.
| 12. Install the DRAM DIMM memory on the new high-performance system card.
| See “Exchanging a DRAM Feature on a High-Performance System Card” on
| page 2-20 for installation instructions.
| 13. Slide the new card along the grooves in the slot and secure the two levers. To
| lock the card into place, pull each lever inward.
| 14. Reattach the cables to the high-performance system card.
| 15. Power on the IBM 2212 by plugging in the power cord.
| 16. Verify the LEDs. See “LED Indicators” on page 1-2.
