– All LEDs off indicates that the IBM 2212 is not receiving power. Perform the
following tests:
1. Check that the power cable is correctly connected to the ac power outlet and
power supply.
2. Unplug the power cable from the outlet, remove the cover, and check the
internal cable connections.
If you found no problems, replace the chassis. See “Installing a Model 1xx
Chassis without a Hard Drive” on page 2-24 or “Installing a Model 1xx Chassis
with a Hard Drive” on page 2-26, or “Installing a Model 4xx Chassis without a
Hard Drive” on page 2-33 or “Installing a Model 4xx Chassis with a Hard Drive”
on page 2-34.
Are any LEDs on now?

| Call 1-800-IBM-SERV (if outside the United States or Canada, contact the
| local support organization for your country).

Restart the verification procedure. Go to Step 001 on page 1-9.

– A yellow adapter slot status LED on the back of the IBM 2212 is on.
The adapter is defective. Replace the adapter. (See “Exchanging a CPCI
Adapter” on page 2-10.)

Hard Drive 2 status LED is on.

The hard drive is not installed correctly, or not present,
|
or not functioning.
|
1. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
|
2. Reseat the system card and reconnect the power
|
cord to the outlet.
|
3. If the yellow LED remains lit see either “Replacing
|
a Suspect Hard Drive in a Model 1xx” on
|
page 2-31 or “Replacing a Suspect Hard Drive in a
|
Model 4xx” on page 2-39, depending on the IBM
|
2212 model number.
LEDs on the Back of the IBM 2212 (See “Additional Slot-Status LEDs” on page 1-8)
Adapter slot status yellow LED is
on. Go to Step 008 on page 1-12.
Adapter slot status green LED is
off and yellow LED is off, and an
adapter is in the slot. Reseat the adapter and reboot. Replace the adapter if
the problem is not corrected. (See “Exchanging a CPCI
Adapter” on page 2-10.)
