b. Pull up on the cover from the rear of the IBM 2212. Remove the cover and
put it aside.
3. Return to the procedure you were following.
Reinstalling the Cover
To reinstall the cover:
1. From the rear of the IBM 2212, slide the cover toward the front, making sure
that the side pieces are inside the chassis. As the locator tabs approach the
front of the machine, press down on the front of the cover so that the tabs slide
into their slots.
2. Press down on the cover at the rear of the machine until it snaps into place.
3. If this IBM 2212 is installed in a rack, insert and tighten the three screws on
each side that secure the rack-mounting bracket and the cover.
If this IBM 2212 is not installed in a rack and the rack-mounting brackets were
removed, insert and tighten the screw in the center of each side.
If the IBM 2212 was installed in a rack, follow these instructions to reinstall it;
otherwise, return to the procedure you were following.
To reinstall the IBM 2212 in the rack:
1. Gather the rack-mounting screws.
2. Hold the IBM 2212 in position in the rack and start the lower of the two screws
that will secure the left bracket.
3. On the right side, align the lower screw hole and start the lower screw.
4. Tighten the two screws that are started and install the upper screws securing
each bracket.
5. Return to the procedure you were following.
