LED card problem.
1. Remove cover, check the LED card connectors,
and reboot. (See Chapter 2, “Removal and
Replacement Procedures” on page 2-1.)
2. If the LEDs are still blinking on a 1xx model,
replace the chassis (PN 85H4738). See “Installing
a Model 1xx Chassis without a Hard Drive” on
page 2-24 or “Installing a Model 1xx Chassis with
a Hard Drive” on page 2-26.
3. If the LEDs are still blinking on a 4xx model,
replace the chassis (PN 86H2690). See “Installing
a Model 4xx Chassis without a Hard Drive” on
page 2-33 or “Installing a Model 4xx Chassis with
a Hard Drive” on page 2-34.

A DRAM SIMM is defective.
1. Go to Chapter 4, “Using the IBM 2212 Bootstrap
Menus” on page 4-1 to access the Bootstrap
Menus and display the Bootstrap error log.
2. Look up the error code in Chapter 5, “Bootstrap
Error Codes” on page 5-1 to determine which
DRAM to replace.
3. See “Exchanging a DRAM Feature” on
page 2-19.

Hard Drive 1 status LED is on.
|
The compact flash is not installed correctly, or not
|
present, or not functioning.
|
1. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
|
2. Remove the system card and reseat the compact
|
flash.
|
3. Reseat the system card and reconnect the power
|
cord to the outlet.
|
4. If the yellow LED remains lit, see “Exchanging a
|
Compact Flash Feature” on page 2-22.
