For inquiries overseas, refer to the contact infor-
mation provided on the back cover of this man-
ual and dial the number described in “Lost,
stolen, account settlement cearing overseas”
and “Malfunctions overseas” followed by “Inter-
national phone codes for Universal number” and
“International access number”, respectively.

International phone code for the universal
number (table 1)
Dialing the international phone code for the
Universal Number and the telephone that
corresponds to this will enable you to make
various inquiries overseas.
The international phone codes for the
Universal Number in the various countries
are as shown below (as of April, 2006).
* There may be cases in which this cannot be used.
* The Universal Number can be used only in the countries
listed in the table above.
* When calling from a hotel, there may be cases in which a
charge for the use of the telephone will be invoiced by the
hotel. (This will be to the account of the customer.) Please
use the telephone after confirming this matter with the hotel.

making inquiries overseas, the international
telephone access number should be used.

the “International Settings” from the “i Menu”.

Depending on the overseas provider, there may
be cases in which the setting of the network ser-
vices cannot be confirmed. Please refer to the
“International Service Use Guide” and “Network
Service Operation Guide” prior to leaving Japan.

“FOMA AC Adapter 01 for Global Use” supports the
voltage from 100V AC to 240V AC but the plug form
of the attached AC power cord is for 100V AC (speci-
fications for Japan). When using this overseas, a con-
version plug adapter that is appropriate for the
country visited will need to be used. The conversion
adapter may be purchased in large home electronics
stores or stores that handle goods for use overseas.

Do not recharge the battery using a transformer for
use overseas.
