<Keypad dial lock>
Locking the Keypad
This function prohibits you from making voice, videophone or Push-to-Talk calls by dialing a phone
number or sending i-mode mail and SMS by using dial keys. Calls can only be made by using
“Phonebook” entries stored before the keypad is locked or using the “Dialed calls”, “Redial” or “Sent
address” records logged after the keypad is locked.
In situations where a FOMA terminal is being used for business purposes for example, you can
prevent private calls or mails by storing the required work numbers and mail addresses in the
“Phonebook” beforehand and then setting this function.
d
While the keypad is locked, you cannot use the following functions or procedures to make voice,
videophone or Push-to-Talk calls, compose i-mode mails or SMS:
a
Keypad entry
a

a

a

a
Using the “Phone To”, “AV Phone To” or “Mail To” function
a
Sending or receiving phonebook data using Infrared data exchange
a
Copying or deleting phonebook entries using “UIM operation”
a
Copying phonebook entries from the miniSD memory card
a
Sending AT commands
d
Locking the keypad deletes all the records of “Received calls”, “Dialed calls”, “Redial”, “Received address”
and “Sent address”. However, all entries logged in those records after keypad is locked remain. If an
address, subject and message are included in a mail, the address is deleted and the message and subject
remain. If only an address is entered, the mail is deleted.
d
Setting this function deletes chat group members.
