Bin)
DoCoMo uses the MessageR (Request)
function to deliver information such as news
and weather to i-mode terminals.
トクだねニュース便
(Tokudane News Bin) is
a pay service you need to subscribe to. Once
you have completed the subscription, the ser-
vice is automatically registered to your My

To view pages stored in cache
a
A cache temporarily stores websites you have vis-
ited in the FOMA terminal. Use
v
to move to an-
other page while you are viewing an i-mode site or
website, and the FOMA terminal displays a page
stored in cache without accessing the site. How-
ever, if the cache is full or if the page is set to al-
ways display the latest information, the FOMA
terminal accesses the site even when you use
v
.
If the date and time information for a page has
been updated, the FOMA terminal accesses the
site and displays the latest information even when
the page is stored in the cache.
a
Even when site data are loaded from cache, the
text and settings you entered previously do not ap-
pear.
a
The cache is cleared when you exit i-mode.
a
When you download an SSL-compatible page
from the cache, a message appears indicating
that an SSL page will be displayed.

Notes on using i-mode
a
Site (program) or Internet website (page) content
is generally protected by copyright laws. Docu-
ments, pictures and other data downloaded from
these sites or websites to your i-mode terminal are
permitted only for personal use. It is prohibited to
copy or modify the whole or part of data for resale
or redistribution without the copyright holders’ per-
mission.
a
All data stored (messages, MessageR/MessageF,
screen memos, i-
α
ppli, i-motion, bookmarks, etc.)
on your i-mode terminal may be lost when your
i-mode terminal is damaged, repaired, or other-
wise mishandled. Under no circumstances shall
NTT DoCoMo be held liable for any loss of or dam-
age to the data stored on your i-mode terminal.
a
In the course of repairs or other works performed
on your i-mode terminal, data downloaded via
i-mode, i-
α
ppli or i-motion will not be transferred to
a new mobile phone due to copyright law. When
the FOMA card (UIM) is replaced or the mobile
phone is turned on with no FOMA card (UIM) in-
serted, some types of mobile phone may be inca-
pable of viewing or playing melodies, images and
movies downloaded from sites, files (images,
movies, melodies, ToruCa (detailed images)) at-
tached to sent or received messages, screen
memos and Message R/MessageF messages.
a
If a file for which the viewing and playback are re-
stricted by a FOMA card (UIM) is set as the stand-
by screen or a ring tone, the FOMA terminal
operates using the default settings when the
FOMA card (UIM) is replaced or the FOMA termi-
nal is turned on without the FOMA card (UIM) in-
serted.
NOTE
e
i-mode-incompatible websites may not be displayed
correctly. To be i-mode-compatible, websites must be
