The following list explains terms and abbreviations you may encounter while reading this 
guide.

AC

Alternating Current

ARR

Battery-backed memory

The circuits inside the monitor that retain information after turning 
off the monitor. The monitor uses a special long-life battery to 
protect the circuits. Patient settings, for example, are saved in 
battery-backed memory.

Bradycardia

Care Unit

Group of devices that have the same department identification, 
e.g. CCU, ICU, SICU.

Central Venous Pressure

Ethernet

A popular baseband local area network (LAN) standard. Dräger’s

and recordings.
